What up?!

in this article I'll give you a deep insight look in one of our finest bowling center in Germany.

I'm talking about the Pinup Bowling Center in Koblenz and to be honest, you wouldn't find any other place which could match this one!

It all began in the year 2009, where two young business men managed to follow and fulfill their dreams and opened up their own event center in their hometown Koblenz.

The first steps were done and Christian, Daniel and the whole team did their best to provide their guests  an extraordinary bowling experience. The interior design was carefully chosen and starting from the entry you already realized how different this place actually is.
Elegant design meets modern ambition and provides space for young thoughts, in other words the whole building is matched to fit in every ones taste.

If you step through the main entrance you'll find the counter and info station right on your left. After signing in you can either start with bowling right away or you first try out our own restaurant or enjoy a cold drink in our sky sports bar. The bowling area combines modern design with a classic flair.

Depending on the day Pinup offers different kinds of bowling types. As for: “Disco Bowling” or “Get the Red Pin”. Both events are always supported by a DJ which plays and mixes the newest tracks in every music genre. After this exciting game you could take a short rest at our bar or just try out one of our well known Pinup Burger! Don't like Burgers, fine no problem then just order a steak or a fresh salad. Our kitchen prepares every meal fresh and with the best ingredients we could provide.

After enjoying the delightful meal a vast amount of different drinks waits at the bar,
but maybe you just want to try out a new cocktail, both options will be provided by our trained barkeepers.

But bowling, food and drinks are not the only things Pinup offers their guests. Every year we celebrate one of the biggest parties in this city starting with Sunset, Oktober Fest or Planlos new year party! Each one of these events are unique and special in their own way and a so called must try for a visitor in Koblenz!

So just come by and check out this place with your friends or family I'll promise you won't regret it!

Best regards

Michael

Hello  my  name is Patricia Bauer, i would like to introduce myself.

I’m 21 years old and grew up in Karlsruhe, that's a city  about 250 km away from Koblenz. (Karlsruhe is known as the IT-technology center in Germany and the highest court of Germany is located there).

I made the decision for my future to study at the Hochschule Koblenz and for that I moved to this city this year.

Most of my free time I spent going out with my friends or just enjoy my new life as a student and I also love to travel :)

Two years ago I travelled with an Interrail-Ticket to Amsterdam, Paris and Brussels. This ticket gives young adults and also students the chance to travel around Europe by train. For me it was a cheap way to visit these capital-cities. I am looking forward to make a journey like this next summer to other European countries.

Best wishes,

Patricia

Tach, wi geds aisch!? Or should I better say, hi what's up? :)
Today I'm gonna tell you guys and girls out there about our party locations and nightlife hotspots in Koblenz City! If you land here by any chance I can assure, you won't be bored at all! There 're definitely good places to hang out and forget books and stress. I actually come from Kaiserlautern a place south from Koblenz and everything was kind of new here for me but in only a few weeks I got quite comfortable with this town even though many things here are totally different than in my hometown. This also fits in every big city here in Germany. They all have their own character and aspects which makes every one of them unique and special!

But enough small talk, let's get back to the topic. If you want to spent a great night in this town you should start your tour in Koblenz downtown or as we would say in German: “Altstadt”. Here you'll find many different Hotspots which fits into every party style.

Let's just begin at the down right part of the map which starts with the Cocktail bar Enchilada. In here most of the students will start their nightlife by meeting up with their friends while having a drink or Mexican food.

Just across the bar you'll get to a famous club called Zenit which combines bar and lounge with a nightclub. When the clock reaches a certain time at night the bar closes and the dance floor will be spread out through the whole building. Guests can now enjoy and dance to the tunes the DJ's. The music genre differs from event to event, but generally you will hear popular house, hip hop stuff and some songs from the charts. On Thursdays these place gets quite full with young guests because of a students night special offer. Next to the Zenit Club, inside a small road lies the Dreams Club. This one is more for the Rock/Alternative scene. The space inside is quite limited but the atmosphere is still intense and the parties here are at least so good as in the other clubs. Like nearly every Club in Koblenz, Dreams also offers special prices on Thursdays. Right across the Zenit on the other side of the square lies the Palais. It's a mixture between a restaurant, lounge and club. The dance floor is located in the center of the main hall and in a cellar room below the building. The music style depends mostly on the current DJ which changes every week. Last but not least, when we strife over to the left part of the map you can find the picture of the Agostea Night Arena. It is a Nightclub only and it mainly opens at 9 pm. The interesting part of this place is the nice and clear split between different areas which all differs from their music genre. Right after the entrance you'll find the Hip Hop hall. If you then take some steps to the right you'll either enter the Oberbayern, which could be translated as the Bavarian area and as the name already says they only play German party songs in this room, or you would enter the Living section. Here they play electronic stuff and this is the only place too in which smocking is allowed.
To sum it up, a student has a pretty good choice between many different locations and there are even more to count but those were to most popular ones. The prices are not really different from place to place. All in all you spent about 10 bucks to enter the club and the drinks will cost about 2,50 €.But remember, this only applies to normal days. On special dates like Thursday you'll be able to find cheap entering prices as well as great drinks offers, especially for girls ;) The nightlife fashion is quite mixed up. Trends spreads quite fast in this city and you'll get to see the newest stuff in the clubs. We here in Germany love to party and to be honest you couldn't actually tell the difference between here and other countries like the US. The music play-lists are quite similar and we never hesitate to dance when the beat is turned on! But sometimes we just want to chill out and hang around with our friends. In this case we'd just have a few drinks and just talk about random stuff. Anyway you guys and girls should come to our town and try out the nightlife for yourself. I bet you'd never regret it :)

Best regards

Katja

Hi!
First of all welcome to our first online Blog! We're glad you made it until here and we hope you'd stay a while to check on our site ;)

We're a group of young students who created this Blog to share our daily aspects of life here in Koblenz. But before we start, let's make a small introduction of our City. Koblenz lies in south-west Germany and is one of the biggest towns in the Rhineland-Palatinate. The City gives a visitor an excellent example of being able to combine the old with the new. We have many interesting sights around the centre of the town. One of the biggest lies on top of the hill Ehrenbreitstein on the opposite of the river Rhine. It was build around 1000 BC by Roman troops and it has been renovated over the years. Today visitors are able to reach the fortification through a chairlift with in no time. Besides this, there is another famous point in the town. Located at the confluence of the Rhine and Mosel stands a monument to the German Emperor William I of Germany. Because of its exact location between those two rivers this place became known as the German Corner.

But let's put history aside and move on to today’s life in Koblenz. The City offers a great choice of shopping and consumers opportunities. Just a few weeks ago a new shopping mall was opened in the center of the city, called the “Mittelrhein Forum” which could be translated as the middle Rhine Forum. The mall itself offers a vast amount of shops and food stores. There's even a sushi bar and a Star Bucks for hungry, or coffee thirsty visitors.

The next mall, like the “Löhr Center” and many other shopping areas are all reachable in a few minutes by feet. Of course you'll find typical fast food companies like Mc Donalds, Burger King, Subway, Pizza Hut and even a KFC too! But besides those typical fast food restaurants we can also provide a great choice of culinary variety. Starting of with the Chinese, Mexican, Greek and of course local specialties, Koblenz also offers high quality food for fair prices. Even affordable for the local students ;) After a nice dinner in one of our restaurants you can spend the rest of the evening by relaxing or you choose to visit some nice places to hang out! Like our cinemas for example. Altogether we've three big ones, two of them are located in the town, near the main railway-station and one in the outskirts of the city just a few driving minutes away. But if you're not in the mood for a movie you can also try out our biggest bowling center, the Pinup. The atmosphere is kind of unique and they offer many different events which gives your bowling experience some kind of a kick. For example disco bowling, Formula One bowling, breakfast brunch, barbeque and many more. Another way to spend your free time would be the Paintball Paradise in a near town called Andernach. It is a huge place with measures about 3000m² free space and is one of the biggest Paintball hall in Germany.

Sounds great huh? Yeah! It's actually quite difficult to get bored here in Koblenz. There is always a activity which we haven't tried and if we're still not satisfied yet, we just make a short drive to the nearest amusement parks :) We hope you could somehow imagine how this city looks like and how we spend our free time in it. Of course we'll continue our journey through this city in the next articles.

Best wishes!

Felix, Benny and Michael
